Guests check-in BEFORE they arrive at your property, much like many of us do before we take a flight.
All of the “paperwork” that would normally be done during the check-in is handled before the guest arrives at your hotel. When they arrive, they simply need to go to the front desk and collect a key. Key card dispensers are now also available which can streamline key collection. Pre-arrival check-in can reduce the contact time at the front desk from 5 minutes to less than a minute. The best thing, it is a minute of true personal connection, not 5 minutes of watching a receptionist do a lot of typing.
